  2. Hello from AZ

Hello from Arizona. Been playing for 17 years ( also play bass for 10 years, guitar for a year, spoons for 16 years, bongos for 3 years.) I play on a Mapex Armory 6 piece (walnut finish, just got them, had a Ludwig combo set) with tomahawk snare. Evans g2 coated on batters for Toms (reso’s stock right now but will be putting G1 coated on soon), Evans Emad 2 clear bass drum batter with stock reso but will put Evans eq 3 on soon, Evans UV1 coated on batter for snare and stock snare reso but going to put on Evans hazy300, snare wire puresound 20 blaster series, but I have a unknown brand brass piccolo 14x3 1/2 snare with 24 lugs ( the drum gods have blessed this snare). Also have a super set of sabian xsr’s Headed my way as of tonight. Double pearl pedals P122tw. Mix of different hardware from Tama to ludwig. Love promark oak 7a sticks. Also have a Yamaha dtx400 electric set with it connected to Cpu with addictive drums 2, and reaper software playing through soundblaster audigy platnium ex system. Sorry if long intro, but I figured what the hell I had time.
  3. Soundboard audio of my band's live performance synced to stationary cam footage. Enjoy the metal! \m/
  4. Sabian HH VANGUARD

INTRODUCING HH VANGUARD Expanding the spectrum of HH Handmade by SABIAN craftsmen. HH Vanguard is the latest offering in the Remastered HH series. Designed to provide exceptional versatility and feel, each model responds to the touch in a way that will surprise you - and inspire you. HH Vanguard A thin, light design with pinpoint lathing and smaller bells. HH Vanguard is ideal for players who want darker cymbals with quick responses. The smaller cup and extended profile delivers clean, woody stick definition for such a thin cymbal. Available in 16", 18" 20", 21" & 22" HH Vanguard Hats Beautifully smooth transition from a fat, meaty foot "chick" to their inherently dry closed stick sound. Striking in appearance, they are completely raw on the bottom, lathed only on the outside 2" area of the bow, and lined the rest of the way to the cup. Their complex tone blends well, while offering enough power for mainstream sounds. 6. Hi, interested in people's views: Sabian XS20 Performance Set made out of B20 bronze, machine hammered, 3 piece vs. Paiste BST8 Rock Set, B8 bronze, hand hammered, 4 piece vs. Zildjian ZHT390 Set, B12 bronze, probably machine pressed, 4 piece They are all roughly the same price. Haven't mentioned the Zildjian in the title because some people say it is of lesser quality than the other two. Planning to test them if I can but would still be interested what more experienced drummer have to say about them. Thanks
  7. Mapex Saturn IV Kit

I have a nice Mapex Saturn kit for sale. The cymbals are not in the best of shape but the drums are in excellent condition. It is a 6 piece kit with 20x18 kick, 8 10 12 14" toms, and a 13x7 Black Panther Blaster snare. I have trick Bigfoot double pedals with the SB1 trigger kit. Hi hat stand is trick predator remote hi hat. Yamaha DTX drum module. Shure mics. ddrum triggers. mic stands. This is a really nice set besides half of the cymbals. I am asking $3,000 for everything and located in Lexington, SC. The pedals and trigger kit alone is about half of that price.
  8. I am both humbled and honored that my kit is featured in the 2016 Pearl catalog! I found out in mid-January that it would be included and it looks awesome. I have posted a video tour of the kit at The Kit 2015 Pearl Masterworks drums in Walnut Burst with African Mahogany (inner) and Bubinga (outer) woods, gold-plated hardware, rounded 45 degree bearing edges on tops and bottoms, and STL150 Lugs. 9. Sabian replaces Xs20

SABIAN INTRODUCES NEW BEST-IN-CLASS XSR SERIES! 3 weeks ago SABIAN has just announced the launch of a brand new cymbal series: XSR. Replacing Xs20, XSR will deliver unprecedented sound and performance at a price designed to fit your cymbal budget. No other series even comes close! “We work hard to keep pushing forward the art of cymbal-making,” comments SABIAN Master Product Specialist Mark Love. “The technology we have learned from making professional series cymbals eventually trickles down to more budget-minded series. For XSR, we use many of the same processes from Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals, and we’re thrilled with the result.” XSR cymbals are hammered and feature enhanced profiles. Bells have been reshaped and redesigned to accelerate the overall sound of the cymbal. The result? Sound and performance well beyond what you would expect from a budget series. In fact, you can put XSR on any kit, on any stage, and not sound out of place. For complete model listing, please visit sabian.com/xsr. View full article

  11. When SABIAN was born in 1982, Hand-Hammered (HH) cymbals were where we started - these were the cymbals that made drummers all over the world fall in love with SABIAN. Now ... think about how a 30-year old classic album is remastered to bring it back to its vintage glory - to take it from the great to the sublime. In this same way, HH Remastered adds complexity and tone to each cymbal, delivering unmatched sonic texture across the entire line. Drummers are falling in love with HH all over again! We took a handful of remastered HH cymbals to the recent Summer NAMM show in Nashville where we received overwhelming praise and very enthusiastic feedback from artists like Jim Riley, Chester Thompson, Mark Schulman and Alex Acuna - not to mention other artists who have had a sneak peek at the new HH like Dave Elitch, Stanton Moore and Mark Guiliana. They are all blown away by these incredible new cymbals. Why do they sound so good? Our Vault team has tapped deeply into our past by applying more Hand Hammering and working on all HH cymbal profiles. In fact, depending on size, each remastered HH cymbal can be hammered up to 3,000 times - in some cases more - before a drummer hits it once. "Traditional Turkish hand hammering is more than just our history," explains SABIAN Master Sound Specialist Mark Love, "It's our DNA. We've been using traditional hand hammering techniques since day one, so as far as SABIAN is concerned, this is not a fad. It's who we are." For all the drummers out there, this renewed focus on hand hammering means HH Crashes sound thinner and more musical, Rides are more traditional and complex, and Hats deliver faster responses and warmer tone. For more information, please visit www.sabian.com/hh. Check out the Sabian HH Re-Mastered webpage http://sabian.com/cymbals/hh/series:hh/language:en

  17. Mapex Saturn 8x7 Blue Galaxy Burst - HELP

I am looking to purchase an 8x7 Blue Galaxy Burst tom. I was told by my local music shops that they have to be custom made because they don't make them anymore... (I have no idea if this is true or not) If there is a site where I can buy one can someone please link me or let me know. I'm in the U.K. so any U.S. site are a no go. Thank you all for your help!
  18. I've always been a huge Arnold Schwarzenegger fan. I've literally seen every single movie he starred in since birth, starting with The Terminator movies, Predator, Commando, Total Recall, and ending with his awesome appearances in new movies such as The Expendables series. I was shocked to hear about the upcoming Terminator movie "Genisys" and thought I'd pay him a tribute by drumming to this amazing Terminator medley I mixed myself. For all you Terminator fans out there here's my Terminator Medley drum cover tribute. Spent a good amount of this week mixing this video together, and had so much fun being a Terminator drummer for that one video haha, I would appriciate all the feedback I can get from you guys! thanks Alaa
  19. This might be one of the most challenging covers I've ever worked on. The Piano Guys' (Disney "Frozen") Let It Go & Vivaldi's Winter epic mashup will blow you away! Reminded me of the good old days by reviving the progressive metal concepts in me with all the unpredictable transitions and odd time signatures. 22. I might just be Metallica's biggest fan ever. They simply inspired me to be a musician. I had no other choice but to cover their EPIC track "One" from the 1988 release "...And Justice For All" which happens to be my number 1 album of all time. Unfortunately, due to YouTube's copyright system YOU CAN ONLY VIEW THIS VIDEO ON A LAPTOP for now. all comments are welcome! - Alaa
